1 Day CSI for Sexual Assault and Special VIctims Crimes
OVERVIEW
This course has been developed to demonstrate that a sexual assault crime scene is more than the rape kit and the bedding at the crime scene.
The course will discuss all evidence types that should be considered, including of course biology and trace evidence, but also when fingerprints may be critical; evaluating testimonial evidence against the crime scene; and investigating special circumstance cases such as elder abuse, child abuse and sexual assault, incest, medical care provider abuse, and high profile crime scenes, among others.
EQUIPMENT
The equipment needed for the brief demonstative portions of the class will be provided by the instructor, however, if you have an Alternative Light Source (ALS) and/or digital camera, bring them for use in the demonstrative portion.
P.O.S.T. CERTIFICATION
8 Technical Studies hours have been certified through the Missouri P.O.S.T. offices. If outside Missouri, check with your agency for reciprocity, or, you may request the course be submitted within your state for certification
